Doug Beekman is a Vice President with Advantage Capital Partners and is based in Washington, D.C. Before joining Advantage Capital, Mr. Beekman was the Manager of Corporate Development for the Danaher Corporation and was also with the Investment Banking Division of Alex Brown and Sons in the Media and Communications Group. Mr. Beekman has a Master of Management degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.A. degree in Government from Dartmouth College.

Michael Korver is a Managing Partner of Global Venture Capital (“GVC”) in Tokyo, Japan. Michael Korver was born and raised in Tokyo and has worked in international business for over 25 years. In addition to his responsibilities at GVC, Michael is on the faculty of the Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy of Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, teaching entrepreneurial management and venture capital in its MBA program. Michael received a B.A. (Phi Beta Kappa) in 1979 and an M.A. in Economics and a professional law degree (Juris Doctor- J.D.) in 1983 all from the University of California at Berkeley.

Patrick Sullivan, Ph.D., is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Hoana Medical, Inc., provider of "intelligent medical vigilance" technology focused on the medical-surgical ward of the acute care hospital with it's first FDA approved offering - the LifeBedT vigilance system, which tracks basic physiology without any connection to the patient - like something from StarTrek. Dr. Sullivan also founded Oceanit in 1985, a research and development incubator that employs over 150 scientists, engineers and other professionals that provide innovative solutions in the field of aerospace, engineering life sciences and information technology. Dr. Sullivan's innovations in the fields of bio-neurotoxins detection, bio-photonics, device development for defense, as well as space and environmental applications are the subject of numerous patents and research programs. Dr. Sullivan received his BS in Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder and his PhD in Engineering from the University of Hawaii.
