Advantage Capital PartnersAdvantage Capital Partners is a private equity firm focused on investing in promising companies in connection with federal, state, and local economic development efforts. With offices in New Orleans, St. Louis, New York, Austin, Washington, D.C., Tampa, Madison, Denver and Huntsville, Advantage has raised more than $750 million in institutional private equity since 1992 and has invested in companies and projects located in states and communities underserved by traditional venture capital. Advantage Capital Partners Hawaii was the lead investor in Nanopoint’s Series A round.

Global Venture CapitalGlobal Venture Capital (“GVC”) is a Tokyo-based, venture capital fund management company that was founded in 1996 to invest in Japanese startup companies in growth markets. GVC invests primarily in startup companies in Japan but will also consider selected opportunities outside of Japan and in later stage companies.

Hawaii AngelsHawaii Angels was founded as UH Angels by Robert Robinson Ph.D., in February 2002. It attracted high net worth individuals from a variety of professions including chief executives, attorneys, physicians, and scientists, who share an enthusiasm for entrepreneurship. In September 2006, it was incorporated as a non-profit and changed its name to Hawaii Angels. The number of members has grown to nearly 100. Maui and Big Island chapters were founded in 2006. Individual members have invested $14 million in various companies and have played a significant role in Hawaii's startup community. Members often mentor entrepreneurs and provide new companies with valuable business advice and important contacts.
