The Mechanical Systems Engineer (MSE) is responsible for systems integration and testing of all NanoPoint instruments under the direction of the Sr. Project Engineer. He/She will perform basic studies between the different functional components of the systems being developed and how they affect the overall system performance and product deadlines. The Mechanical Systems Engineer will become familiar with Nanopoint's micro fluidics systems and learn the trade offs necessary to commercialize these types of products effectively and in a timely manner. The Mechanical Systems Engineer also aides in the process of taking products from conceptual design all the way through manufacturing to ensure a smooth transition is made between the various phases. He/She will work with a multi-disciplined team and participate in project planning to insure the company goals and scheduled milestones are met on time. The Mechanical Systems Engineer will develop drawings and assemblies as required by the Project Engineer.
